Intuitive Health Services is seeking a compassionate Licensed Psychiatric Technician to join our full-time healthcare team in Atascadero, CA. The technician will provide direct behavioral and medical support to individuals with mental health or developmental needs while promoting safety, dignity, and recovery.
• Observe patients’ behavior, symptoms, and physical condition.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments within the approved scope of practice.
• Assist with personal care, daily living activities, and therapeutic routines.
• Support crisis prevention, de-escalation, and emergency-response procedures.
• Record vital signs, medication administration, behaviors, and treatment progress accurately.
• Report significant changes in patient condition to nurses, physicians, or supervisors.
• Participate in individualized treatment and behavioral-support plans.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and respectful care environment.
• Follow infection-control, confidentiality, ethical, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Associate degree or completion of an approved psychiatric technician program.
• Active California Psychiatric Technician license in good standing.
• Current CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Strong observation, communication, documentation, and crisis-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with patients experiencing behavioral challenges.
