Licensed Psychiatric Technician at Correctional Facilities

Intuitive Health Services is seeking a compassionate Licensed Psychiatric Technician to join our full-time healthcare team at various Correctional Facilities in California. The technician will provide direct behavioral and medical support to individuals with mental health or developmental needs while promoting safety, dignity, and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Observe patients’ behavior, symptoms, and physical condition.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments within the approved scope of practice.
• Assist with personal care, daily living activities, and therapeutic routines.
• Support crisis prevention, de-escalation, and emergency-response procedures.
• Record vital signs, medication administration, behaviors, and treatment progress accurately.
• Report significant changes in patient condition to nurses, physicians, or supervisors.
• Participate in individualized treatment and behavioral-support plans.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and respectful care environment.
• Follow infection-control, confidentiality, ethical, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or completion of an approved psychiatric technician program.
• Active California Psychiatric Technician license in good standing.
• Current CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Strong observation, communication, documentation, and crisis-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with patients experiencing behavioral challenges.
