About the Role: Intuitive Health Services is seeking a creative and dedicated full-time Recreational Therapist to join our team in Lancaster, CA. In this role, you will design, implement, and evaluate structured, treatment-based recreational programs to help patients improve their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient interests, physical capabilities, and therapeutic needs.
Develop customized recreational therapy plans incorporating activities such as arts and crafts, sports, music, dramatics, and community outings.
Lead therapeutic group sessions and individual activities designed to reduce anxiety, build social skills, and restore confidence.
Observe, evaluate, and record patient progress and behavioral changes, modifying intervention plans as necessary.
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to support comprehensive patient recovery and rehabilitation goals.
Document all clinical assessments, therapeutic interventions, and progress notes accurately within the health records system.
Qualifications:
Professional degree or certification in Recreational Therapy or a closely related healthcare field.
Active Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential preferred.
Valid, active registration or license to practice in the state of California if required.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage a diverse patient population.
